Good morning people! This morning as I was walking into work I noticed some new "Reserved For" signs in the parking lot. They are new because they are currently place in the 4 spots closest to the door. I might add those spots are highly valued after lunch because I normally move my car but I'm not bitter lol. Anyway so I noticed that these "Reserved For" signs have a slot where a name tag is placed for the person(s) that they are reserved for. Due to the fact that these signs were so new there was no name tag in the slot yet. What really amazed me is that inspite of their being no parties name tag NO ONE parked there. I mean I was even going to try it but my conscious felt so disobedient and I knew that I would worry about my car if I parked in a place that wasn't meant for me, So I found another spot to park. Right then these Bible verses crept into my spirit. Philippians 4:8 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Also, Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. It made me ask myself what if I were to place spiritual "Reserved For" signs on my thinking, acting, environment and etc??? Just imagine if your heart, mind, body and soul says "Reserved For: JOY" or "Reserved For:PEACE" or "Reserved For:Thinking on things that Have Virtue" or "Reserved For: Praise Worthy thoughts", then those same reserve signs would not authorize just any ol' thought, thing, person etc. to park in a that spot that you have authorized for something else of value. Just imagine how much dysfunction we can avoid if we are on the offensive with what we let into our spaces of value. I'm not saying that our lives will be pain free, NO but I do believe that with those power boundaries better known as "Reserve For" signs on our lives we can strategically find a way to escape a lot of unnecessary situations.
